Estonia accused Russia of setting fire to the Milrem Robotics warehouse without providing evidence

Estonia did not provide evidence of Russia’s involvement in the fire in the building of the defense company Milrem Robotics, the Russian Embassy told RIA Novosti.

“On September 29, Chargé d’Affaires of the Russian Federation Kamran Abilov was invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia. During the conversation, the Estonian side filed charges in connection with a fire at the Milrem Robotics warehouse on August 15 in Tallinn. The Foreign Ministry did not provide any evidence of this, citing the ongoing investigation into the circumstances of the incident,” the diplomatic mission reported.

Earlier, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said that the department intends to summon Russian Charge d'Affaires Kamran Abilov in connection with the arson of a defense plant in Tallinn, in which Latvians are suspected.

The Estonian television and radio company ERR previously reported that on the night of August 15 in Tallinn, a building used by the defense company Milrem Robotics, which supplies THeMIS unmanned ground vehicles to Ukraine, caught fire. In mid-September, Latvia handed over three arson suspects to Estonia. With the permission of the court, three Latvian citizens were taken into custody.
