French company Miraculous Corp. filed a lawsuit against the Zamania network for the recovery of 3 million rubles

The French company Miraculous Corp., associated with the creators of the animated series "Lady Bug and Super-Cat", filed a lawsuit in a Moscow court against the network of children's entertainment centers "Zamaniya" for the recovery of 3 million rubles, according to materials reviewed by RIA Novosti.

As lawyer Yulia Lazareva, representing the interests of Miraculous, told RIA Novosti, the company saw a violation of its intellectual property rights and filed a claim for compensation.

“The defendants allowed the Lady Bug character to be recycled and used it on the network’s official website and in printed materials in connection with children’s themed events,” Lazareva said.

She clarified that the defendants in the statement of claim include the children's park chain itself and its counterparties - for example, manufacturers of cakes and printed materials.

The defendants in the lawsuit are Zamania LLC, KRK LLC, Red LLC, Family Restaurant LLC and Alliance SV LLC, indicated in the materials. The court will begin hearing the case in early November.

Miraculous this year filed almost 100 lawsuits in the courts of several Russian regions in defense of its intellectual rights. The amount of one claim is usually several tens of thousands of rubles. The defendants include individual entrepreneurs and small firms. The largest claim - for the recovery of 30 million rubles from St. Petersburg LLC Lenta, which manages the retail chain of the same name, and its co-defendants - is now being considered by the Moscow Arbitration Court.
