Driver dies after car collides head-on with truck on RS-118

A man died after the car he was driving collided head-on with a truck in the early hours of this Monday (19) on RS-118, in Viamão, in the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre. Until the last update of this report, the identity of the victim had not been disclosed.

The driver's death was confirmed at the scene by teams from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu). The body was stuck to the hardware, and the Fire Department was called to remove it.

The section was isolated for the work of the General Institute of Expertise (IGP). The Civil Police will investigate the causes of the collision. The Military Brigade Road Command (CRBM) also responded to the incident to guide traffic.
