Actress Hayden Panettiere dies at 36

Actress Hayden Panettiere, star of American series such as Heroes and Nashville, or the Scream saga, has died at the age of 36. Details about his death have not been released.

"It is with deep sadness that we share the tragic news of the passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her and the millions who watched her on screen," her father, Skip Panettiere, said in a statement.

Panettiere played a super-powered cheerleader in Heroes and, most notably, as Juliette Barnes in the musical drama "Nashville", for which she received two Golden Globe nominations. A series in which she starred for 128 episodes between 2012 and 2018. She also had other memorable roles, including in the films Remember the Titans and Raising Helen.

His father has asked the press for privacy while the family "takes time to come to terms with this unimaginable loss," according to a statement issued by his representative.

Raised in Palisades, New York, her mother was a soap opera actress and her father was a fire department captain. As a child, she appeared on popular television series such as Ally McBeal and Malcolm in the Middle.

Panettiere began her career as a child actress, at just four years old, when she was cast in the popular American soap opera One Life to Live. She later rose to fame playing Claire Bennet in the popular science fiction series Heroes, which aired from 2006 to 2010.

Panettiere spoke openly about his personal struggles from childhood to adulthood in his memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning, published in May.

In them she shares "a rare, intimate insight into her private life, speaking openly about postpartum depression, addiction and recovery, trauma, domestic abuse and loss," according to the book's synopsis.

Panettiere dedicated his entire life to acting, with numerous roles in other successful series and films, including the horror saga Scream and the romantic comedy I Love You, Beth Cooper.

The artist was the mother of a daughter, Kaya Klitschko, born in 2014, with her ex-partner, heavyweight boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko.

In an interview with Good Morning America in 2022 that ABC News retrieves, Panetierre spoke openly about her struggle with alcoholism and postpartum depression.
