Woman is killed with 16 stab wounds by her ex-husband in MT

Conceição Moreira da Silva, 31 years old, was the victim of femicide on Saturday night (10), in Chapada dos Guimarães, 65 km from Cuiabá. She was stabbed 16 times, according to information from the medical team that treated her. The main suspect is the victim's ex-husband, aged 44, who was located near the crime scene after fleeing. He was detained and taken to the police station.

The knife used in the crime was found on the sidewalk, near the scene of the attack, and seized by the police. Witnesses who witnessed the incident were interviewed by the military. According to police records, an establishment on the street has security cameras that would have recorded the action. The owner informed that the images may be made available to the Civil Police to assist in the investigation.
