Grandmother bathed and changed clothes of boy killed after stabbing during family argument in Bahia

The grandmother of Alisson da Silva Costa, 8, bathed and changed the boy's clothes before taking him to the hospital, after the child was stabbed during a family argument in Paratinga, in western Bahia. The case happened on Friday (9), and the information was released by the Military Police.

According to the PM, the police were called after receiving information that a child had been admitted to a health unit with a stab wound.

According to police information, the boy's mother, Edleide Maria da Silva Costa, 29 years old, and his maternal grandmother, Marcelina Maria da Silva, were involved in an argument that escalated to physical aggression.

During the disagreement, Edleide allegedly threw a knife towards her own mother, but the object hit her son in the chest.

The Military Police also reported that the child's mother appeared to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. She was arrested red-handed.

The Paratinga Territorial Police Station (DT) is investigating the case to clarify the circumstances of the death and the responsibility of those involved.
