Father arrested in Paraná suspected of raping 4-year-old daughter after complaint from the child's mother

A man was arrested on suspicion of raping his own 4-year-old daughter, after being reported by the child's mother, in Vitorino, in the southwest of Paraná. The arrest took place on Saturday night (10).

Before her arrest, the girl was treated at an Emergency Care Unit (UPA) in São Lourenço do Oeste, in Santa Catarina, with signs of sexual violence.

The identity will not be disclosed to avoid exposing the victim.

According to the Military Police (PM), the suspicion is that the crime took place at the father's house, in the Araucária Park neighborhood, while the girl was under his care.

After the complaint, military police officers from Santa Catarina reported the case to teams from Paraná, who went to the suspect's residence.

Upon arriving at the address, the police found the house with the lights off. As no one responded to the calls, the teams entered the property and located the man, who was arrested in the act.

The suspect was taken to the 12th Central Regional de Flagrantes de Pato Branco, where he was presented to the Civil Police.

The child received specialized medical care and was sent for forensic examinations at the Scientific Police. The Guardianship Council was also called to monitor the case.

No updated information about the girl's health status was released. The case will be investigated by the Civil Police.
