Woman arrested for threatening ex-partner and failing to comply with protective measure in Roraima

A 33-year-old woman was arrested in Rorainópolis, in the south of Roraima, suspected of threatening her ex-partner, aged 37, and violating a protective measure. The information was released this Sunday (8) by the Civil Police.

The arrest took place on Friday (6), in an action by police officers from the Specialized Police Station for Women's Assistance (Deam), after the Court ordered the preventive detention of the person being investigated.

According to the Civil Police, the decision was taken after investigating new episodes of intimidation against the victim. The woman being investigated is suspected of sending men to intimidate the victim in Boa Vista.

Deputy Carla Gabriella Paulain reported that the victim sought out Deam and reported having maintained a relationship of approximately one year with the suspect. During this period, she suffered recurring episodes of physical and psychological violence. The attacks caused injuries and consequences.

According to the victim's report to the police, men went to her house, in the Nova Cidade neighborhood, in the West zone of the capital, and said that she should not contact the Civil Police, under threat of reprisals.

They also stated that they would return to take her to Rorainópolis.

When questioning who was behind the threats, the victim received a photo of the person being investigated in response. The information was included in the investigation, which continues to clarify the participation of other people in the threats.

In another action, Deam police officers arrested a 43-year-old man, also investigated for threatening his ex-partner and failing to comply with a protective measure, in Boa Vista.

The case occurred on September 23, when the man broke into the house where his ex-partner was staying with a friend, in the Alvorada neighborhood, while she was sleeping. According to police records, he arrived excited, looked for the victim and hurled insults. The suspicion is that he had a knife in his waistband.

After leaving the house, the man threw stones at the window of the room where the victim was. She was not hit. The Military Police were called, but he left the scene before the police arrived. The victim was taken to Deam.
