Woman dies after trying to escape from ex-partner armed with knife in Rio das Ostras

A 35-year-old woman died on Sunday (6), in Rio das Ostras, in Baixada Litorânea do Rio, days after throwing herself from the window of the second floor of her house to escape her ex-partner, who, according to the police, was chasing her with a knife in his hand.

According to police records, the man, identified as Alex Pimenta Carvalho, arrived at the residence apparently drunk. After an argument, he allegedly took a knife and threatened Gabrielle Pimenta Carvalho, even demanding that she unlock her cell phone, she unlocked the device in an attempt to escape.
