No Decision Made in the Case of Ayşe İnceyol and Her Family Massacre in Muş Korkut

In Muş Korkut, İnceyol, her father Musa and her older brother Neytullah İnceyol were murdered in the attack on the family house where Ayşe İnceyol took shelter after being kidnapped and sexually assaulted by Cihan Oral in the middle of the street two years ago.

In the case where Cihan Oral, who escaped after the incident, and Ahmet Aksu, who was allegedly with him on the day of the attack, were tried, no decision was made, although the prosecutor's office requested aggravated life imprisonment for the detained defendant Ahmet Aksu. Since Cihan Oral was abroad and his trial could not be held, the intentional murder case was separated from the defendants' side. A red notice was issued for Oral.

After it was determined that Oral was in France, an attempt was made to extradite him to Turkey. However, no results have been obtained yet regarding Oral's capture and extradition process. At the hearing where Aksu was tried, a decision could not be made due to a change of committee. The hearing was postponed to September 22.

THE PROCESS IS NOT PROGRESSING

Çisel Demirkan, one of the lawyers of the Children and Women First Association, who is following the case, said, "The crime is fixed, the incident is fixed, the defendant is clear. The decision of the file should be made immediately and Cihan Oral should be extradited to Turkey as soon as possible."

Stating that the capture of Cihan Oral is important not only for the file regarding the murder of the İnceyol family, but also for the sexual assault file of Ayşe İnceyol, the lawyer said that no progress was made in this file because Oral could not be caught.

Lawyer Demirkan said, "Cihan Oral needs to be caught, both for Cihan to be punished as soon as possible, for justice to be served, and for the sexual assault file of Ayşe İnceyol, which is ongoing in Muş, to progress. The files for the defendants are at the decision stage, but we cannot get results because we cannot make progress within the current legal system."

Reacting to the prolongation of the extradition process of Cihan Oral from France, lawyer Demirkan stated that the defendant's location has been determined and that he should be brought to Turkey as soon as possible.
