A new case of suspected electoral fraud is being investigated by the National Anti-Corruption Unit

In recent days, headlines about the suspected election fraud in Borlänge have replaced each other. The criminal classification has an inappropriate effect on voting and the case is being investigated by the National Anti-Corruption Unit.

There is also another case that is being investigated by the special unit after the election - but it has no connection to the investigation in Borlänge. The classification is an undue advantage when voting. Prosecutor Oskar Edvardsson does not want to go into details about what has happened - but gives an example of what the classification includes.

- For example, it could be that someone is trying to sell their vote.

There is a suspect in the case, but the crime scene is not completely clear.

- The place can be a little fluid if it has happened electronically. It is an ongoing preliminary investigation. We'll see what it ends up in, says Oskar Edvardsson.
