Mr. Le Trong Yen was appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment

Mr. Le Trong Yen, Standing Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, was appointed by the Prime Minister to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment on September 4.

Deputy Minister Le Trong Yen is 53 years old, from Hung Yen; Doctoral degree in Land Management, master's degree in Agriculture, engineer in Land Management, bachelor's degree in Accounting, bachelor's degree in English Language.

Growing up as an officer of Cu Jut district, Dak Nong province (formerly), Mr. Yen has many years of experience with the fields of natural resources and environment, agriculture and rural development in the locality. He used to be Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Dak Nong province.

He has been Vice Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee since November 2020. When Lam Dong merged with Dak Nong and Binh Thuan in July 2025, he was appointed as Vice Chairman of the new Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee and has held this position until now.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is a Government agency, state management in the fields of: agriculture; forestry; salt karma; seafood; irrigation; natural disaster prevention; rural development; land; water resources; mineral and geological resources; environment; hydrometeorology; climate change; surveying and mapping; integrated management of natural resources and environmental protection of seas and islands; remote sensing.

The current Minister of Agriculture and Environment is Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, with 7 assisting Deputy Ministers: Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hiep, Le Cong Thanh, Nguyen Quoc Tri, Vo Van Hung, Dang Ngoc Diep, Le Trong Yen and Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa.
