During the action, four search and seizure warrants were executed at addresses in Belo Horizonte, Nova Lima and Contagem.
According to the investigation, companies hired to process municipal tax invoices would have retained part of the amounts paid by taxpayers before the money was passed on to Governador Valadares City Hall.
