A disaster was avoided on the highway: The passenger bus caught fire

A fire broke out at around 06:00 on the passenger bus on the Osmaniye-Istanbul trip, traveling in the direction of Istanbul, near the viaducts in the Bolu Mountain location of the Anatolian Highway.

The driver pulled the bus to the safety lane and evacuated the passengers. Upon notice, Bolu Municipality Fire Department teams were dispatched to the scene. The bus, surrounded by flames, was extinguished by fire crews.

The passenger bus was completely burned and became unusable. The passengers continued on their way with a different bus belonging to the same company. An investigation into the fire has been launched.
