New regulations and appropriation ceilings from MTP to SOEs

According to the information compiled by the AA correspondent from the MTP covering the 2027-2029 period, it is aimed to strengthen accountability in public administration, increase transparency, continue activities as required by commercial life and increase profitability, effectiveness and efficiency to higher levels.

In this context, in order to strengthen public financial discipline, public enterprises with different statuses will be monitored, the effectiveness of SOEs' accounting systems will be increased and their financial structures will be strengthened.

Accountability of public enterprises will increase

The activities of SOEs will be carried out effectively and efficiently, in harmony with macroeconomic, sectoral and social policies and with an understanding that supports sustainability in public finance. Within the scope of SOE governance reform, regulations will be made to increase the global competitiveness of companies with international operations.

By using performance-based measurement methods, the accountability of public enterprises and boards of directors will be increased.

Appropriation ceilings of special budget administrations

On the other hand, with the MTP, the 2027 budget appropriation proposal ceilings of special budget administrations have also been determined.

Accordingly, 514 billion 670 million 384 thousand liras to the General Directorate of Highways, 324 billion 27 million 898 thousand liras to the General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, 292 billion 20 million 400 thousand liras to the Urban Transformation Directorate, 106 billion 797 million 6 thousand liras to the General Directorate of Forestry, 79 billion 540 million 460 to the Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Council. thousand liras, and 39 billion 570 million 595 thousand liras budget appropriation was allocated to Penal Institutions and Detention Houses Workshops Institution.
