Paolo Belli returns to work after the bike accident, the message on social media

Paolo Belli decided to return to artistic activity after the self-imposed stop following the bicycle accident in which he was involved last July, during a tour in the countryside of Lower Reggio Emilia, in which a 41-year-old man died. The singer and showman from Modena himself made this known today with a video on his social channels.

"Immediately after what happened - he explains - I chose to remain silent out of respect and decided to suspend all my artistic and professional activities. With this video I want to tell you that I have decided to return to my work, but first I wanted to thank all of you for the great affection you have shown me in recent months with your words, with your thoughts or even with a simple greeting in the street. Thank you very much. I owe it to all of you to start again and I also owe it to those who work with me. I will certainly do it with a different state of mind, without forget anything even when you see me smile and sing. See you around soon.

The accident occurred on 13 July in Cognento, in the countryside between Correggio and Campagnola. The victim was working for his service company, had just served some documents on behalf of an electricity distribution company and was returning to his car, when suddenly he was hit in the street by the bike of Belli, 64 years old, a well-known cycling enthusiast. He had fallen to the ground and never got up again: he died the following day at the Maggiore hospital in Parma, where he had been transported by air ambulance. The investigations into the accident were entrusted to the local police of the Bassa Reggiana union and the artist was registered in the register of suspects by the Reggio Emilia Public Prosecutor's Office as a necessary action in view of the investigations. From that moment Paolo Belli had decided to suspend his summer tour and all artistic activities, including his presence in the new edition of 'Dancing with the Stars' on Rai1 alongside Milly Carlucci.
