Lavrov said that Russia will monitor the activities of the Pax Silica coalition

EKATERINBURG, September 16 - RIA Novosti. The Russian Federation will monitor the work of the closed coalition created in the United States to ensure economic security in the era of AI, Pax Silica, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

“For example, the Americans created Pax Silica for the development of AI, where they selectively invited some countries. We, of course, are following this process, we want to understand how this will affect real life,” Lavrov said, speaking at the International Youth Festival.

Pax Silica is a US-led coalition aimed at promoting economic security in the age of artificial intelligence (AI). The initiative views computing, silicon, minerals and energy as shared strategic assets. Pax Silica participating countries included Australia, Greece, Israel, Japan, Qatar, Republic of Korea, Singapore, United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
