“As part of the inspection, the Federal State Budgetary Institution “VGNKI” established the presence of live Aujeszky's disease virus in samples of series No. 20 of the Multikan-8 vaccine, selected in the Yaroslavl region. Thus, the cause-and-effect relationship between mass deaths among dogs and the use of immunization with the Multikan-8 vaccine, series No. 20, contaminated with a foreign virus, lethal for this type of animal, was confirmed,” the statement says. message.

The service noted that the Russian Prosecutor General's Office has instructed the Lublin Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office of Moscow to conduct an investigation against Vetbiohim LLC regarding the mass death of domestic animals in connection with the use of the Multikan-8 vaccine. Specialists from Rosselkhoznadzor and the subordinate service of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "VGNKI" took part in the unscheduled inspection.
