PM hears witness of political act at the door of the UFS where police fired shots

According to the corporation, other students were summoned and are expected to give testimony in the coming days. The riot occurred on the night of October 8, during a pro-Lula political event organized by the Central Directory of Students (DCE/UFS) to debate student public policies, youth participation in the electoral process and the defense of democracy.

The military police officer involved in the case, identified as Sergeant Manoel Messias dos Santos, was removed from office and had his weapon seized. The agent's conduct is investigated by the PM's Internal Affairs Department.
