Portuguese football player Cristiano Ronaldo announced that he did not quit the national team.

The 41-year-old football player, who left the national team camp after the Denmark and Norway matches in which he did not play, accused coach Jorge Jesus of not keeping his promise in his 1740-word statement.

Ronaldo apologized to his teammates and fans for leaving the camp while the UEFA Nations League matches were continuing, and shared that he planned to make a statement announcing that he had left the national team, but was dissuaded from this decision by the President of the Portuguese Football Federation, Pedro Proenca.

Stating that he will accept any punishment given after his sudden departure from the national team camp, Ronaldo said, "The Federation should evaluate the consequences of my actions and punish me for them.
