The Italian national cycling team for the 2026 Montreal World Championships has been presented

The technical commissioner of the Elite men's road, Roberto Amadio, told ANSA in Matera, where this evening, at Casa Cava, in the Sassi, the Italian national cycling team that will participate in the 2026 Montreal World Championships was presented.

For the Elite men's road race Alberto Bettiol, Giulio Ciccone, Mattia Cattaneo, Lorenzo Finn, Cristian Scaroni, Giulio Pellizzari, Davide Piganzoli, Matteo Trentin, Matteo Sobrero and Diego Ulissi were called up. For the Elite men's time trial Filippo Ganna, Matteo Sobrero and Mattia Cattaneo.

For the Elite women's road race Elisa Longo Borghini, Silvia Persico, Erica Magnaldi, Eleonora Gasparrini, Monica Trinca Colonel, Sara Casasola and Francesca Barale were called up; for the time trial Elisa Longo Borghini and Vittoria Guazzini.

Among the Under 23 men, Matteo Scalco, Federico Lorello, Mattia Negrente, Alessandro Cattani, Mattia Proietti Gagliardoni, Enea Sambinello, Simone Zanini, Davide Frigo, Roberto Capello and Nicolas Milesi were called up for the road race; for the time trial Nicolas Milesi and Alessandro Cattani. Giada Silo, Gaia Segato and Eleonora Ciabocco will run in the Under 23 women's road race.

For the Junior men's road race, Patrick Pezzo Rosola, Brandon Fedrizzi, Guido Viero, Alessandro Battistoni, Luca Gugnino, Nicola Padovan, Enrico Balliana, Andrea Pierotto and Marco Zoco were called up; for the time trial Patrick Pezzo Rosola, Andrea Tarallo and Enrico Balliana. Among the Junior women, Giorgia Pellizzotti, Azzurra Ballan, Maria Acuti and Matilde Rossignoli will run in the road race; in the time trial Maria Acuti, Matilde Rossignoli and Azzurra Ballan.

In the Team Relay the men's component will be made up of Filippo Ganna, Matteo Sobrero and Mattia Cattaneo, the women's component will be Elisa Longo Borghini, Vittoria Guazzini and Monica Trinca Colonel.
