2027 presidential election: intense political start for candidates and parties

Seven months before the first round of the presidential election, political groups and candidates are getting active. On the left, the two radical left presidential candidates, Jean-Luc Mélenchon and Fabien Roussel, speak at the Fête de l'Humanité, Saturday September 12. The head of the French Communist Party (PCF), Fabien Roussel, responded to a long interview with BFMTV before speaking. He called for “mobilization on roundabouts”, echoing the resumption of the “yellow vest” movement. “I call on the French to mobilize immediately. Bruno Retailleau, the president of the Republicans, is due to speak at the Jeunes Républicains back-to-school campus at Pavillon Baltard (Val-de-Marne). On the far right, the National Rally, meets in Le Touquet (Pas-de-Calais) for its parliamentary return.

Confrontation at the Fête de l'Humanité.
