Muhammed Yarız, the top name of Pusula Portföy, which manages billions of liras of funds in the capital markets, has been at the top of Türkiye's agenda with the arrest warrant issued against him in recent days and the allegations that he fled abroad.

WHO IS MUHAMMED YARIZ?

Muhammed Yarız completed his education in Istanbul, at Medipol University, Department of Political Science and Public Administration. According to current company data, Muhammet Yarız is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pusula Portföy Yönetimi A.Ş., which manages a huge portfolio size of 633.8 billion liras. He also serves as a shareholder and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at Birevim, and is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pusula Investment Holding.

ALLEGATIONS ABOUT MUHAMMED YARIZ

An arrest warrant was issued for Muhammet Yarız within the scope of a large-scale investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Allegedly, Yarız left his mobile phone in his office and fled to Greece by sea via Marmaris. Immediately after the events, the judicial authorities placed an injunction on all of Yarız's assets and bank accounts. It is noteworthy that this process took place at a very critical time when official institution approvals were awaited for the transfer of Pusula Finans Holding and its subsidiaries to Tera Group.
