RC Lens: Dino Toppmöller dismissed from his coaching duties

A Champions Trophy to open the season against PSG, an incredible victory in the Champions League... but only one success in four Ligue 1 matches. RC Lens coach Dino Toppmöller was dismissed from his duties on Tuesday September 15, the club announced in a press release. The 45-year-old German, who arrived this summer in Pas-de-Calais, will therefore not have had time to warm up his bench.

"At the end of numerous discussions devoted to the life of the group, the functioning and organization of the staff, Racing informed its coach of its desire to reshape it. These structuring developments having not been able to be shared by Dino Toppmöller, the club, in responsibility, took the decision to put an end to his mission, as well as that of his two assistants", declared RC Lens in a press release, specifying that Yannick Cahuzac would be on the bench facing in Monaco on Friday in Ligue 1.

Sunday, against the promoted Lens, Lens had to fight hard to avoid defeat (2-2).
