Rimini, 17-year-old German tourist reports sexual violence: a 27-year-old is under investigation

A 17-year-old German tourist reported having suffered sexual violence after an evening spent at a disco on Friday night in Rimini with some friends. The girl, on holiday with a group of compatriots, apparently left the premises with a 27-year-old of Turkish nationality. On Saturday morning she returned to the hotel in a confused state and without remembering what had happened in the previous hours. She then asked friends to take her to the hospital. The story is reported by the Rimini editions of Resto del Carlino and Corriere di Romagna.

On Friday night the 17-year-old went dancing at a disco with some friends and compatriots. According to the testimonies collected by the investigators, she left the club with a 27-year-old Turkish national she met in the club, after which her friends lost sight of her. The next morning the girl returned to the room in a clear state of confusion and without remembering what happened during the night. “Maybe I was raped,” she allegedly told friends, asking to be taken to hospital. In the emergency room, the girl was unable to reconstruct what happened. She reported having been drinking and was subjected to a medical examination and anti-violence protocol. A report was then made to the state police.

The flying team managed to trace the identity of the young Turk, a tourist who is staying in the same hotel as the group of German tourists. His room was searched and the police seized some personal items and his cell phone. The investigators are also verifying the hypothesis that the 17-year-old may have been given drugs, given the total amnesia reported about the evening. The 27-year-old was questioned and denied having used violence on the girl.
