Rimini, 17-year-old German girl reports sexual assault after evening at the disco

After an evening at a disco with friends, a 17-year-old German girl reports having suffered sexual violence and asks to be taken to hospital. It happened on Friday night in Rimini where the group of German tourists, including the 17-year-old, has been on holiday for a week.

The other evening, as reported by the Rimini editions of Resto del Carlino and Corriere di Romagna, the 17-year-old, in the company of friends and compatriots, went dancing and left the club together with a young woman of Turkish nationality. When the minor returned to her room yesterday morning, she remembered nothing of the previous evening. "Maybe I was raped" she said in an evident state of confusion, she asked friends for help and to be taken to hospital. In the emergency room the girl was unable to tell anything about what happened, she said she had been drinking, and was subjected to a medical examination and anti-violence protocol. Thus the report was made to the state police.

The mobile team which is reconstructing the facts is investigating the matter. According to witnesses, the 17-year-old left with the 27-year-old she met in the club after which her friends lost sight of her. The flying squad traced the identity of the young Turk, a tourist who is staying in the same hotel as the group of German tourists. Searches immediately began in the room occupied by the boy, the police seized some personal items and the cell phone from the 27-year-old.

The investigators' suspicion, given the 17-year-old's total amnesia about the evening, is that she may have been given drugs. The 27-year-old has already been questioned by the police and has denied having used violence on the young woman.
