This September 7th holiday, Rock in Rio will receive medallions. The headliner of Palco Mundo is none other than Elton John, who comes to the country for the first time since 2017. The iconic singer and pianist will make a single performance in Brazil, and is expected to thrill with unforgettable hits, from "Your Song" to "Tiny Dancer".
On the Sunset Stage, the program ends with an MPB legend: Gilberto Gil. The musician comes from "Tempo Rei", his farewell tour, which ended in early 2026. He takes the Rock in Rio stage with his soul smelling of talcum powder and will bring his canon repertoire of Brazilian music.

Icelandic Laufey is also one of the attractions of the day. By combining bossa nova with jazz and pop, his songs are winning over more and more teenagers around the world — especially girls. She should perform a charming and calm show on Palco Mundo, before headliner Elton John.
Palco Mundo also welcomes multi-award-winning musician Jon Batiste and Luísa Sonza invites Roberto Menescal. At Sunset, Péricles promises to give a separate show with repertoire from the iconic record label Motown; Roupa Nova and Guilherme Arantes and Vanessa da Mata invites Rubel are also part of the line-up.
