Roubaix: the mayor denounces a system of corruption in the allocation of social housing

David Guiraud, the LFI mayor of Roubaix (North), announced Thursday in a video on social networks, spotted by ICI Nord, that he had made a report to the public prosecutor to denounce "the existence of a system of fraud or even corruption" in the allocation of housing by social landlords. According to the mayor of the northern town of 98,000 inhabitants, agents of a landlord, or posing as one, "go to see residents and offer to move their file to the top of the pile in exchange for remuneration, a bribe".

For the mayor of Roubaix, these practices "ruin trust between residents and social landlords", in addition to breaking equality and fair treatment in social housing allocations.
