Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation Delivers New Batch of Su-57 Fighter Jets

MOSCOW, September 24. /TASS/. Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of the state tech corporation Rostec) has delivered a batch of new Su-57 multi-role fighter jets to the Russian Aerospace Forces, the state corporation’s press service reported.

"The United Aircraft Corporation has delivered a batch of new Su-57 multi-role fighters to the Russian Aerospace Forces. The aircraft underwent a full cycle of factory tests, were tested in various operating modes by pilots from the Russian Defense Ministry, and flew to their assigned airfield," the press service stated.

It said that the aircraft rolling off the production line today differ from those from the early days of the special military operation. Over this period, the Su-57 has undergone major transformation. The fighter is being developed and modernized, in part based on extensive experience from its use in combat operations.

"The fifth-generation Su-57 aircraft is the best aircraft in its class. Unconditional fulfillment of the state defense procurement plan for the delivery of these and other operational-tactical aircraft is our top priority. Our specialists, in cooperation with other Rostec companies, are constantly enhancing production processes to ensure the necessary pace of aircraft manufacturing," said UAC CEO Vadim Badekha, as quoted by the press service.

The state corporation noted that the Su-57 stealth multirole fighter aircraft was designed to perform a wide range of combat missions. It is capable of engaging air, ground, and sea targets. The aircraft can be deployed around the clock, including in adverse weather conditions and electronic countermeasures.

"To fulfill the objectives of supplying the troops with highly sought-after weapons and military equipment, the Aerospace Forces’ crews have accepted the Su-57 aircraft in their new technical configuration. I would like to thank the plant representatives and all employees of Rostec’s United Aircraft Corporation who participated in the design, assembly, and preparation of this aircraft for their professionalism. The aircraft has already proven itself in the special military operation. The new technical configuration will help broaden the range of missions for which this type of aircraft is deployed. The advanced capabilities built into the aircraft weapons system allow for the use of new types of aerial weapons," said a Su-57 pilot of the Aerospace Forces, whose remarks are quoted in the press release.
