Russian drone strike kills at least four people in Pavlohrad

At least four people were killed and more than 60 others injured in a Russian drone strike in the southeastern Ukrainian city of Pavlohrad. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selenskyj announced this on the X platform in the evening. The victims were only staying near shopping centers.

According to the prosecutor's office of the Dnipropetrovsk region, several shops and cars were also damaged in the attack. The authorities are investigating a possible war crime. Pavlohrad is around 80 kilometers from the front line.

Dozens of other people were injured in Kramatorsk as a result of Russian attacks that hit residential buildings, as Zelenskyj further wrote. Other cities such as Kiev and Dnipro as well as communities in the Dnipro, Donetsk, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kharkiv regions were also attacked.

“We are working with the utmost intensity with our partners to protect Ukrainians from this Russian terror,” Zelensky continued. Decisions would be made on further support packages for Ukraine, including arms assistance and support specifically to protect Ukrainian airspace. Further aid packages are being prepared.

Ukraine has been defending itself against a Russian invasion since February 2022.
