Russia protects Yandex's data centers

Shadayev, in his statement at the committee meeting in the Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament, stated that Yandex has been faced with attacks on an unprecedented scale in recent days.

Stating that efforts to protect the data centers in question are continuing, Şadayev said, "The Ministry of Digital Development is discussing the issue of protecting these facilities together with the Ministry of Defense." he said.

Shadayev pointed out that Yandex's services continue to work despite the attacks, and noted that this is the result of the importance the company attaches to backup systems and distributing its infrastructure to different regions.

Stating that they monitor the size of the attacks in real time, Şadayev said that all companies in the sector help solve the problems faced by Yandex.

Yandex announced that its data centers in Sasovo in the Ryazan region on October 8, in Kaluga on October 9, and in the Vladimir region on October 11 were damaged by UAV attacks.

The company reported that the operations of the data centers in Sasovo and Vladimir had completely stopped, and part of the infrastructure of the center in Kaluga had become unusable.
