Saab will continue to develop a new Swedish fighter

Saab will continue to work on a new Swedish fighter, Defense News reports.

According to the publication, the company received about $303 million from the Swedish government to continue work on the conceptual design of the country's future flagship fighter from 2026 to 2028. It is noted that the validity of the concluded agreement can be extended until 2030.

According to Saab, the contracted work includes the demonstration of prototype aircraft and ground vehicles, as well as in-depth research and development of concepts for future systems for manned and unmanned platforms.

In July, the TWZ portal reported that Ukraine had officially contracted Gripen E fighter jets produced by the Swedish company Saab.
