Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu Emphasized Early Diagnosis in the Fight against Chronic Diseases during Public Health Week

Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu, in his post on his social media account on the occasion of Public Health Week, said, "Let's grow old in good health and stay healthy." made the call.

Memişoğlu emphasized that they meticulously carry out early diagnosis and regular monitoring processes against chronic diseases with 31 thousand family physicians working in more than 8 thousand family health centers and said, "Thanks to the 158 million chronic disease scans we have carried out in the last two years, we have made more than 14 million early diagnoses and intervened in time. Let's not forget, early diagnosis is one of the most important steps for a healthy future. We will continue to support our citizens to live a healthy and quality life by strengthening our preventive health services." he said.

Early diagnosis and regular follow-up are important in the fight against chronic diseases.

In the statement made by the Ministry, it was stated that the theme of the 5th day of Public Health Week was determined as "Age Healthy, Stay Healthy" this year.

In this context, it was stated that the aim is to raise risk awareness in diabetes, hypertension, obesity, kidney disease, COPD, stroke and cardiovascular diseases, and to draw attention to the importance of regular monitoring and early intervention, with the events to be held throughout Turkey.

In the statement, it was stated that chronic diseases should be fought effectively in order to extend the years of healthy and quality life, and in this context, it was noted that it is important to fight against risk factors to prevent the emergence of diseases, make early diagnosis with screenings, apply appropriate treatment and carry out regular follow-ups.
