Statement from Şamil Tayyar about fund profiteering: It cannot be explained with conspiracy theory

Former AKP Deputy Şamil Tayyar made a statement on his social media account regarding the publicly discussed fund fraud.

Tayyar: "Was the fund grab an election operation against the AK Party? Was the plan disrupted early?" He stated that he had recently encountered comments and questions such as these and argued that what happened should not be explained with conspiracy theories.

Tayyar used the following statements in his statement:

"First of all, it is necessary to give up the ease of explaining every trouble that happens with a conspiracy theory. Everything happened before our eyes, those at the scene of the robbery were our children. They were so-called financial geniuses, local and national. They were powerful. They were untouchables. They were establishing their own financial power with the enthusiasm of plunder."

Tayyar continued his post and said:

"They didn't care about Erdoğan or the AK Party, those who wet their prayer rugs with their tears, and the reckless men of cause. They corrupted and corrupted the neighborhood openly, like poison ivy."

Pointing to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Tayyar continued his statement as follows:

"It was Erdoğan who spoiled the game. Our ministers Mehmet Şimşek and Akın Gürlek came to the field. He opened the door to demolishing and transforming these rotten structures in the neighborhood. Hopefully, more will follow."

Tayyar completed his post with the following statements:

"Oh, by the way, weren't there people who were happy and kicked about this? Of course, if you stumble, they will kick you. But no one should try to innoculate this corruption with mysterious scenarios."

WHAT HAPPENED?

In the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Terrorism Financing and Laundering Crimes Investigation Bureau, allegations of manipulative transactions made through investment funds in some shares traded in Borsa Istanbul are investigated. The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office requested detailed records from the Central Registry Agency to examine investor-based buying and selling movements of the funds under investigation, from their establishment to their liquidation dates.

FATMA BETÜL SAYAN KAYA RESIGNED

While the investigation was ongoing, the name of former Minister of Family and Social Policies and then AKP Deputy Chairman Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya came to the fore with the transactions regarding Özata Denizcilik shares.

It was claimed by the opposition that Kaya and his wife bought Özata Denizcilik shares before they gained significant value and sold them before the sharp decline in the markets.

Kaya announced that he requested to be relieved of his duty in order to clarify the allegations against him; AKP's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan also accepted the resignation.

HAYATI YAZICI'S SON IS BAN FROM GOING ABROAD

During the investigation, the statement of Mustafa Yazıcı, the son of AKP Deputy Chairman Hayati Yazıcı, was also taken.

While measures were taken against Mustafa Yazıcı regarding his assets and money movements, the financial measure against 5 people, including Yazıcı, was lifted after the statements taken and evidence collected were evaluated. The judicial control measure in the form of a ban on traveling abroad continued for Mustafa Yazıcı.
