Samsun City Hospital Started to Serve on May 9, Will Be Officially Opened on September 13

Samsun City Hospital, the construction of which started in Samsun in 2020 and was completed in 2026, started to serve with all its units on May 9, 2026. The official opening of the hospital, which was built with the own resources of the Ministry of Health, will be held on Sunday, September 13, with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Built on a land of 305 thousand square meters, Samsun City Hospital will make a significant contribution to the healthcare services of the region with its large capacity and modern healthcare infrastructure. In addition to its 1,458 bed capacity, the hospital has 230 intensive care beds, 40 operating rooms and one hybrid operating room. Providing service with modern medical technologies and extensive physical facilities, the hospital aims to provide comprehensive health services to patients from Samsun as well as surrounding provinces.

"IT IS IMPOSSIBLE NOT TO BE PROUD"

Citizens who came to Samsun City Hospital evaluated the hospital's facilities and health services.

Zeynel Özdemir stated that Samsun is a big city and a suitable hospital was needed and said, "Samsun is one of the most important cities of the Black Sea Region. The hospital had to be large accordingly. The state officials took advantage of this and built a very nice hospital here. It is impossible not to feel proud. My wife is currently hospitalized in this hospital. Everything is very nice. May God bless her forever."

Beytullah Donbaş stated that he liked the facilities of the hospital and said, "The facilities of the hospital are very good. I am 52 years old and my health condition is very good. I came here from Ordu. I prefer this place because it is a bit busy. May God bless those who built the hospital."

Erdoğan Kurt stated that the hospital suits Samsun very well and said, "It is a hospital worthy of Samsun. Its interior is excellent. But it is a bit difficult to reach. I think transportation will be easier with the rail system."

The official opening of Samsun City Hospital will be held on Sunday, September 13 at 14.00 with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
