The suspect, who was followed by a drone in Sancaktepe, was caught

The incident took place on September 14 in Osmangazi District. According to the information obtained, the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) team of the Sancaktepe District Police Department Patrol Teams worked with a drone at a vehicle inspection station. During the study, it was determined that the wanted Ediz A. was at the station. The suspect, who did not obey the 'Stop' warning of the police teams, started to escape with an electric scooter.

IT WAS FOLLOWED WITH A DRONE

The suspect, who damaged the right mirror of a police vehicle and caused its right front tire to burst during the escape, was followed by a drone. Ediz A., whose location was reported to the teams via radio, was caught in the same neighborhood after being followed. The suspect's escape with an electric scooter, the pursuit of the police teams and the suspect's capture were recorded on the drone camera.

It was learned that Ediz A. had previously disobeyed the 'Stop' warning of the police in Sancaktepe and Sultanbeyli with a vehicle with plate number 10 ALU 201, and had hit 2 vehicles belonging to the public order teams in Sultanbeyli and escaped. It was determined that the suspect had a record of 54 incidents in total, including 7 for 'Violation of the Firearms Law', 18 for 'Deliberate wounding', 12 for 'Buying, accepting or possessing drugs for use', 11 for 'Threat and insult' and 6 for 'Damage to property'.

HE WAS WANTED FROM 12 SEPARATE FILES

During the interrogation, it was determined that Ediz A. was wanted in 12 separate files on the subjects of 'Threat with a weapon', 'Deprivation of liberty by force and threat', 'Deliberate wounding', 'Purchasing or carrying unlicensed weapons and bullets', 'Simple wounding', 'Threat', 'Abuse of office' and 'Insult'. The suspect, who also had a 9-month prison sentence, was referred to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station.
