Gay couple attacked in Berlin

A gay couple was attacked by two unknown men in Berlin. According to the police, a 31-year-old was walking with his 24-year-old friend on Viktoria-Luise-Platz on Sunday night when the two men came towards them.

One of the strangers first took out his cell phone and filmed the couple. He then hit the 31-year-old in the face. The two attackers then fled.

The 31-year-old complained of pain in his lower jaw. The blow also said some of his teeth were loosened. An ambulance took him to a hospital for treatment.

The police assume that the crime had a homophobic background and have started investigating the as yet unknown perpetrators.
