Joint reaction from eight countries to statements by Israeli officials regarding the displacement of Palestinians

Foreign ministers of Turkey, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) made a joint statement regarding Ben-Gvir and Yisrael Katz's statements regarding the displacement of Palestinians.

According to the statement, the ministers strongly condemned the statements made by two Israeli officials regarding the displacement of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, including suggestions for plans and mechanisms aimed at forcibly removing Palestinians from their lands.

Ministers emphasized that such provocative statements and proposals clearly violate the principles of international law, including international humanitarian law, and pose a direct threat to the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.

The Ministers confirmed that they unequivocally reject and condemn any attempt or plan aimed at displacing the Palestinian people within or outside the occupied Palestinian territory under any pretext or justification.

Warning against the serious consequences of translating calls for forced displacement into official policy or concrete measures "aimed at uprooting Palestinians from their lands", the ministers said such actions pose a direct challenge to international efforts to achieve peace, including US President Donald Trump's Gaza Plan, which staunchly rejects forced displacement, and seriously jeopardize the hope of stability in the region.

Ministers emphasized that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory and underlined that it is imperative to protect the integrity of the Palestinian territories in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

Noting that the only way to achieve a just and lasting peace is the implementation of the two-state solution, the ministers confirmed the establishment of an independent State of Palestine, with East Jerusalem as its capital, within the borders of June 4, 1967, in accordance with the relevant decisions of international legitimacy.

The ministers called on the international community, especially the United Nations Security Council, to assume their responsibilities and "resolutely oppose any attempt to impose a new demographic or geographical reality" on the occupied Palestinian territories and ensure compliance with the rules of international law.

In addition, the ministers reaffirmed their full support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in their own land and their rejection of all attempts aimed at eliminating the Palestinian cause or undermining the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
