It would have been a single bullet that reached Gjovalin Lazri, the 36-year-old who died last Sunday in Baldissero d'Alba in the province of Cuneo while with some companions, according to what has been reconstructed, he was attempting a robbery in a farmhouse: these would be the results, yet to be confirmed, of the first medical-legal analyzes carried out at the Turin civic morgue on the recommendation of the Asti prosecutor's office. The specialists will submit their conclusions in sixty days. To complete the investigations, which also include ballistics consultancy, an inspection is considered essential.

Mollo's call to 112

Roberto Mollo, the 35-year-old who shot from the balcony and who is now under investigation for murder and attempted murder, pulled the trigger twelve times towards the shadows that moved in the courtyard, in the darkness of the night. Tg1 released the audio of his call to 112 at 2.17am on 20 September: "I injured a thief, I don't know if he's dead. I was scared, I did it alone, I had the gun. Maybe there's a person on the ground, I don't know if he's dead. I'm desperate, I was scared, he was walking around in the house. I armed myself, I defended myself".

The importance of technical checks

This afternoon the defense lawyer, Piermario Morra, met with Mollo. The outcome of the technical investigations will be decisive in establishing whether the case is to be considered a voluntary homicide, manslaughter or excessive self-defense. This morning Lazri's body was taken to the morgue in a light wooden coffin. Immediately after his arrival, two young family members of the man showed up at the facility on the outskirts of Turin. They had expressed the desire to see him for the last time and, while waiting for the autopsy to begin, they stayed for a few minutes. Accompanying them was the lawyer Roberta Sismondo, who reiterated that she had "maximum confidence in the work of the prosecutor's office and the experts".
