Stellar is a blockchain network focused on cross-border payments and asset tokenization. The growth in tokenized real-world assets reflects broader institutional interest in blockchain-based financial instruments.
The value of tokenized real-world assets (RWA) on Stellar has climbed roughly 360% in 2026 to nearly $4 billion, up from $868.8 million at the end of last year, according to a Dune Analytics dashboard maintained by Stellar.
The network’s RWA market cap stood at $3.996 billion as of Aug. 29, spread across US Treasurys, private and public credit, non-US government debt and other tokenized asset classes.
The market is concentrated among a handful of issuers. Spiko accounted for $1.55 billion of Stellar’s RWA value as of Aug. 27, followed by Realiz at $559 million, Tradable at $548 million, Franklin Templeton at $546 million and Ondo at $535 million.

Institutional adoption drives Stellar’s RWA growth
The expansion comes as financial institutions and tokenization platforms deepen their use of the network.
In May, the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) announced plans to connect its tokenization service to Stellar, with DTC-tokenized assets expected to become available on the network in the first half of 2027. The integration could eventually support tokenized US Treasurys, major index ETFs and stocks in the Russell 1000.
That institutional push continued in July, when tokenization platform Tradable announced plans to bring up to $1 billion in private credit assets to Stellar. The integration is designed to support compliance, investor onboarding and asset lifecycle management, building on $1.7 billion in private credit that Tradable has already tokenized across nearly 30 positions.
Stellar has also expanded its role in digital payments. MoneyGram launched its MGUSD dollar stablecoin on the network in June, allowing users to hold dollar-denominated balances and move funds through its global payments network.
MGUSD joins roughly $438 million in reserve-verified stablecoins currently issued on Stellar, according to the Dune dashboard.

Coinbase's US500 futures contract achieved $104 million in 24-hour matched volume shortly after its August 17 launch, testing whether crypto perpetuals-style funding mechanisms can function within regulated US equity-index futures. The product combines a crypto-style hourly funding rate with a five-year, cash-settled future tied to MarketVector's MVPUSC index, operating under CFTC-certified rules including exchange position limits and a Sunday-to-Friday trading session. While early volume surged, later readings showed $7.22 million in 24-hour volume and $3.01 million in open interest, highlighting the need for sustained trading to determine long-term viability.

US-listed Bitcoin ETFs lost $201.9 million on Friday, ending a nine-day inflow streak, while Ethereum, XRP, and Solana ETFs continued to attract inflows. Bitcoin fell 3.2% to $77,696, but the outflow represents only a small fraction of the ETF complex's $54.6 billion in cumulative net inflows since launch.

Tokenized stock transfer volume rose over 415% to $29.5 billion in the past 30 days, with monthly active addresses increasing 209% to 1.3 million and holders growing 167% to 2.36 million, according to RWA.xyz data. The surge follows new tokenized equity offerings on platforms like Coinbase Base, Bitwise, Bybit, and Arcus, expanding access for non-US investors and use cases in decentralized finance.

The SEC is reviewing the limits of ETF structures as asset managers use the exchange-traded fund wrapper to offer exposure to crypto, commodities, leveraged returns, private assets and event-linked contracts. With US ETF assets growing from $4 trillion in 2019 to over $12 trillion in 2025 and product count rising from 1,900 to 4,600, the agency examines whether existing rules allow sufficient time and staff authority to assess products with sharply different risk profiles. Public comments are due Aug. 31 on a concept release covering crypto assets, heightened gearing, single-stock products, blockchain opportunities, private assets and event contracts. The review focuses on whether the ETF ticker’s familiarity obscures meaningful differences in custody, valuation, liquidity and legal structure across product types.
