Streamer Sneako Claims Attacker Arrested in NYC Assault, IRS Refunds $30,000

Streamer Nico “Sneako” has claimed that the man who attacked and pepper-sprayed him during a New York livestream has finally been arrested. Sneako shared the update on X, saying the person was taken into custody on an aggravated assault charge. He also said the news came around the same time he received a $30,000 refund from the IRS. The arrest claim follows an April 2026 street attack that was captured during Sneako’s livestream. At the time, police said they were investigating after Sneako reported being assaulted and pepper-sprayed. The suspect was initially reported to be at large.

Sneako says New York attacker was arrested

The original attack happened on April 14, 2026, while Sneako was livestreaming in New York City. Video showed a man approaching him on the street before punching him and pulling him toward the ground. Sneako told police that he had also been pepper-sprayed. He later said he had suffered a broken tooth during the incident. Sneako later questioned whether the encounter was really random. In a livestream after the incident, he said the situation did not make sense to him and suggested that the attacker may have known who he was. Now, several months later, Sneako has provided another update. In a post on X, he wrote: “The man who attacked and pepper sprayed me finally got arrested for aggravated assault.” Sneako did not identify the person in the post or share a police report or court document. As of the latest available reporting, the arrest and charge have not been independently confirmed by law enforcement or court records. Sneako also mentioned another unexpected development in the same post. He said the IRS had refunded him $30,000 from four years earlier. He wrote: “Then right after the IRS just refunded me $30k from 4 years ago W day Alhamdulillah” The two events led Sneako to describe the day as a positive one despite the difficult circumstances surrounding the assault.

Ac7ionMann offers to pay the attack suspect’s legal costs

The arrest claim also drew a strong reaction from fellow streamer Ac7ionMann. After seeing a post about the alleged arrest, he asked for the suspect’s name and offered to help with his legal expenses. Ac7ionMann wrote: “What’s his name I’ll bond him out and pay for his lawyer right now.” Other users also responded to the discussion on X. Some suggested starting a GoFundMe to help the alleged attacker with bail and legal fees, while others criticized Sneako over the incident. One user wrote: “can we start him on GoFundMe? bless this man” Another added: “I'd support this GoFundMe.” The reaction comes despite the lack of publicly confirmed details about the alleged arrest, including the suspect’s name and the exact court status of the case. For now, Sneako’s post is the main source for the claim that the person involved in the April attack has been arrested for aggravated assault. The earlier assault itself was documented during his livestream and reported by CBS New York, which said the suspect was still at large at the time of its April 15 update.
