A few days ago, a netizen who claimed to have worked as a reserve cadre at SUBWAY was exposed in the live broadcast of "arson" by the Internet celebrity. Last month, the Parmesan cheese bread suddenly announced that it would not be sold. The official claimed that it was affected by international shipping congestion, but in fact it was because the powdered ingredients of the bread contained illegal ingredients that were not approved in China. In addition, Thousand Island Dressing in various stores was suspended for a period of time because it was involved in the carcinogenic oil scandal that caused a lot of controversy. However, the official did not take the initiative to explain it to the public, and was suspected of hiding it from consumers.
In this regard, SUBWAY Taiwan issued a statement on the official powder page today. First of all, regarding the ingredients of Parmesan cheese bread, the official stated that "the bread and Parmesan cheese powder used in the original Parmesan cheese bread were purchased and imported from overseas suppliers. After the powder was inspected by the competent authority, one of the ingredients was found to not comply with Taiwan's relevant standards for food ingredients. Next is Thousand Island Dressing. The official said that the suspension of supply was affected by the domestic oil supply chain incident in July this year. "At that time, some soybean salad oil in the upstream supply chain was found to have benzene pyrene (BaP) that did not comply with relevant regulations. The competent authority therefore required the affected products to be removed from the shelves and recycled."
