SUNGUR Air Defense Missile, developed by ROKETSAN, was fired for the first time from the BURÇ Mobile Air Defense System.

Another new test has been successfully completed in the work on Turkey's layered air defense architecture.

SUNGUR Air Defense Missile, developed by ROKETSAN, was fired for the first time from the highly mobile BURÇ Mobile Air Defense System. In the firing carried out within the scope of the test, the missile successfully hit the moving air target.

With the firing, the integration of SUNGUR on the BURÇ platform and the new firing capability of the system were confirmed.

BURÇ brings together different weapons in air defense

BURÇ stands out as a mobile system developed to provide short-range air defense of mobile units and facilities.

The weapon architecture of the system includes SUNGUR missiles and a 20/30 mm gun. BURÇ also combines active and passive sensors and capabilities for detecting and tracking threats in the airspace on a single platform.

Thanks to this structure, the system is aimed to provide a more flexible engagement capacity against different air threats.

SUNGUR's range is over 8 kilometers

SUNGUR, used on BURÇ, is a missile system initially developed specifically for short-range air defense missions.

According to the data announced by ROKETSAN for the missile, SUNGUR's range is over 8 kilometers. System; It can be used to protect mobile and fixed units and facilities against air threats.

The fact that SUNGUR is designed to be integrated into different platforms stands out as one of the important features that pave the way for its use on BURÇ.
