I residenti della provincia autonoma saranno i primi in Italia a rientrare in classe: oltre 85mila bambini e ragazzi, dei quali 22.080 nelle scuole in lingua italiana e 64.759 in quelle di lingua tedesca.

Nelle valli ladine, invece, torneranno sui banchi 2.895 giovani.

Agli studenti e alle studentesse della provincia autonoma seguiranno, il 10 settembre, quelli della Provincia di Trento, della Valle d'Aosta e del Veneto. Il 14 settembre il ritorno in classe spetterà a Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Liguria, Lombardia, Marche, Molise, Piemonte, Umbria, il 15 settembre a Calabria, Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Lazio, Sicilia e Toscana e il 16 ad Abruzzo, Basilicata, Sardegna. A chiudere sarà, il 17 settembre, la Puglia.
