Syrian President Ahmed Shara Emphasis on Golan Heights at the 81st UN General Assembly

Speaking at the 81st UN General Assembly, Syrian President Ahmed Shara underlined their fight against international crime, stated that stability and security were re-established, and stated that Syria turned the crisis into an opportunity.

Emphasizing that human trafficking has been stopped and sanctions have been lifted, Shara added that all of these were carried out in cooperation with the European Union.

Calling for security, the President said, "I would like to thank all actors who abide by decision number 497. I call on all actors to comply with this decision. More than 500 air and more than a thousand decision attacks were carried out by Israel, and many detention attempts were made. We will fight against these."

The President also emphasized that "Golan will remain Syrian territory and all annexation decisions are null and void in accordance with UN resolutions."
