Syrian Foreign Minister Shaybani spoke about the reconstruction of Syria and negotiations with Israel at the Arab League meeting

In his speech at the 166th Ministerial Session of the Arab League held in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, Shaybani said, "Today, we come together under the umbrella of the Arab League at a moment that requires solidarity and a united vision." he said.

Stating that the decision to collect weapons in one hand and to deter the country is the absolute sovereign right of the state, Şeybani said, "Our goal is to protect Syrians in one homeland." he said.

Shaybani stated that negotiations are being carried out under the mediation of the USA to ensure that Israel's attacks end and it withdraws to the lines before December 8, 2024.

Emphasizing that the focus is on the reconstruction of Syria, Shaybani said, "We refuse to be dragged into a conflict that will distract our efforts to rebuild our country." he said.

Stating that the Syrian people transformed the country from crisis management to national reconstruction in 20 months, Şeybani said, "We have left behind the bloody tyranny period that drained the lives of Syrians for decades." he said.

Minister Shaybani stated that the people elected the first People's Assembly of modern Syria with their free will, and the national security and defense institutions were restructured to protect the borders.

Thanking the Arab League for condemning Colombia's decision to recognize Israel's annexation of the Golan Heights, Shaybani said, "Syria confirms that Arab rights in the occupied Golan are inalienable. Syria is committed to the diplomatic solution and is working to end Israel's aggression, detentions and violations." made his assessment.
