Suspect of attempted murder dies after confrontation with police in Santana, Amapá

According to information from the 4th PM Battalion, teams were called around 11pm following reports that a man, possibly armed, had disembarked from a vehicle in front of the residence and entered one of the apartments.

Upon arriving at the scene, police located the suspect and attempted to approach him. The man reacted to police action and fired a firearm at the teams.

Shots were exchanged and the suspect was shot. The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called to provide assistance and the death was confirmed at the scene.

According to police, the man had a criminal record and a record of involvement in an attempted murder. The seized material was sent to the police station.
