Suspect of Several Thefts in Caracaraí Arrested After Confrontation with Police

Shortly before, the same team had already responded to another incident involving Kaio Vitor. He is suspected of stealing a collection of knives from another resident of the city. With the information, the police began to patrol the area and surrounded a vacant lot used by drug users. It was there that they found the suspect. He did not obey the order to stop and attacked one of the police officers. As they approached, the police officer shot him twice with rubber bullets before Kaio fled again, this time into a forested area. The police resumed the search and found the suspect hiding under a car. He was handcuffed after trying to escape several times and arrived at the police station with injuries to his face and scratches on his chest and legs. According to the bulletin, the injuries occurred during the escape through the bush, between fences and obstacles. The suspect was taken to the Caracaraí Civil Police Station along with the recovered objects. The case was registered as qualified theft, resistance and failure to comply with a precautionary measure. Delegate Bruno Gabriel Costa, head of the Caracaraí police station, asked for the suspect's preventive arrest. According to the delegate, Kaio Vitor is identified as the author of a series of thefts in Caracaraí. After his arrest, four more victims have already been identified. Now, the Civil Police are working to locate others.
