The Arms Administration released three sights for the T112 rifle, with an annual production capacity of 12,000 units

[Reporter Wu Zheyu/Reporting from Taipei] "2026 Taichung AI Application and Smart Manufacturing Exhibition" will be held at the Taichung International Convention and Exhibition Center from October 1 to 4. The Arms Administration has disclosed three types of sights for the T112 rifle, including close-combat sights, reflective sights and laser illuminators, and revealed that the current annual production capacity of each model can reach approximately 12,000 units.

The melee scope has a 4x magnification, can observe a distance of up to 1 kilometer, and can support shooting within 600 meters. It weighs about 390 grams. The scale inside the scope can "light up" and adjust the brightness of the markings according to different ring mirrors, allowing the shooter to quickly find the aiming point. The reflective scope has a viewing distance of 200 meters and weighs only 160 grams, which is suitable for close range shooting.

As for the gun light lightning device, the low-power laser can be used for about 6 hours, the high-power laser can be used for about 3 hours, and the white light gun light can be used for about 2 hours. The high- and low-power lasers can be used according to different distances. If the power is too high at close range, the aiming point may be enlarged. At long distances, higher power is required to facilitate identification.

In terms of mass production capacity, the current overall annual production capacity of the three sights can reach approximately 12,000 units, and production capacity will surely be gradually expanded.

In addition to the T112, related sights also have cross-platform flexibility. Interviewees pointed out that except for the melee scope, which is designed according to the T112 ballistics, the other two scopes can in principle be installed as long as the firearm has a 1913 slide rail. The T91 rifle can also be used, and can be re-shot and reset to zero.

However, although the melee scope scale needs to be matched with the T112, as long as the ballistic data of other gun types can be obtained, the scales etched in the scope and replaced, it can be installed on other guns immediately.

According to the latest 2016 budget of the Ministry of National Defense, the Army will spend tens of billions over three years to purchase a total of 198,378 internal red dot sights and optical sights, as well as 183,076 tactical gun lights and laser modules, surpassing the 86,114 T112 rifles manufactured.
