TARSİM insured agricultural assets worth 1.1 trillion TL with 2 million policies in the first seven months of 2026. In the January-July period, 6.6 billion TL damage was paid to producers who suffered losses from natural disasters and other insured risks.

While approximately 2 million policies were issued in all agricultural insurance branches in the January-July period, the total value of insured agricultural assets reached 1.1 trillion TL. In the same period, 24 million decares of agricultural land were covered by insurance, while 17.6 million cattle and sheep were covered by TARSİM.

The importance of agricultural insurance comes to the fore with recent events such as frost, hail, storm, flood and drought. The increase in losses resulting from weather events in agricultural production, especially due to climate change, makes it more important for producers to manage their risks through the insurance system.
